Victory to Enter New Electric Prototypes in 2015 Isle of Man TT
Victory recently bought electric motorcycle manufacturer Brammo, and now we are getting a first look at what the result of that acquisition means for Victory. Victory will be debuting an electric motorcycle prototype at the 2015 Isle of Man TT. This is the first time ever that Victory will be entering a European motorcycle racing event.
Two of the electric prototypes will be entered. Both are equipped with racing motors and refined chassis that are built for the mountain course. Parker Hannifin provided GVM PMAC motors and "highly sophisticated electric controls to maximize peak power, power delivery, and durability."
One of the bikes will be ridden by William Dunlop, Joey Dunlop's nephew, and the other will be built by Lee Johnston, also known as "General Lee."
These bikes will be exciting to see in action on Wednesday, June 10th, 2015 as we await the arrival of the first Victory road-going electric bike. Be sure to check out the SES TT Zero Challenge one-lap race to see these bikes for the first time.
